Annie Nguyen, born and raised in California, is a second-year high school student with a strong interest in pursuing a future in the medical field. Through volunteering at her church’s children’s programs, she has gained experience helping lead activities and supporting younger students in learning environments. These experiences showed her how important patience, encouragement, and clear communication are when guiding and supporting others. Annie takes pride in her Vietnamese culture and the values it emphasizes—respect, resilience, and community—which connect closely to the themes of this book. By combining cultural understanding with health awareness, this project aims to present medical challenges in a way that feels relatable and supportive, especially for young readers. In her free time, she enjoys drawing.
